The Drug Education Forum brings together national organisations from
health, education, police and voluntary sectors that deliver or support
the delivery of drug education.

Offering close support and
guidance to primary care trusts, local authorities and their schools,
we're equipping children and young people with the skills and knowledge
to make informed health and life choices and to reach their full
potential.
More than 99% of schools nationally are now involved in the programme
and over 76% of schools have achieved National Healthy School Status.
This translates to around 4 million children and young people currently
enjoying the benefits of attending a Healthy School.

The association provides a
central support network for teachers of PSHE, giving them a focal point
to receive advice, gather and share examples of good practice and
promote existing guidance.

They regulate, develop and modernise the curriculum, assessments,
examinations and qualifications. Includes guidance for teachers on
effective alcohol and drug education.

- SHEU
Originally known as the Schools Health
Education Unit, SHEU now offers a range of survey, research and
evaluation services to all those concerned with the health and social
development of young people. The core of their survey work is the
Health Related Behaviour Questionnaire which provides a detailed
profile of young people's life at home, at school/college, and with
their friends.
